The Vigil begins with a Rosary at 7 p.m., followed by a special Mass at 7:30 p.m. This extended liturgy includes multiple readings and a laying on of hands, and fulfills your Sunday obligation.

PILGRIMMAGE TO THE GROTTO 2025

Join fellow college students and young adults (ages 18–25) from the Newman community for a transformative 3-day walking pilgrimage from Salem to The Grotto of Our Lady of Sorrows in Portland. Taking place over Memorial Day weekend (May 24–26), this journey offers spiritual reflection, community bonding, and daily Mass. The $55 fee covers meals, lodging, and a high-visibility t-shirt. Bathrooms will be accessible throughout the weekend. Register by May 9 to secure your spot and receive a t-shirt!
